Motor accessibility: keyboard, switch, voice, head/eye control

Many users cannot use a mouse reliably (or at all). This template keeps controls reachable and operable with the keyboard, and avoids hover-only interactions or tiny targets.

Site patterns that matter

Keyboard-first operation
  • Use Tab / Shift+Tab to move through controls.
  • Use Enter or Space to activate buttons and toggles.
  • The skip link prevents fatigue by jumping past repeated navigation.
Switch access compatibility

Switch scanning works best when the page has a clean focus order, large targets, and no custom controls that break semantics. This template uses native buttons/selects and clear focus styling.

Voice control compatibility
  • Buttons and links have clear text labels (good for “Click …” commands).
  • Controls avoid ambiguous “icon-only” actions.
  • Predictable layout improves command reliability.
