Summary

I'm an accessibility tester and web developer who works remotely and relies on assistive technology every day. I test websites the same way I use them in real life — trying to complete tasks, noticing what slows me down, and explaining clearly what works and what doesn't. I communicate well, follow through, and focus on practical fixes that help real people.

How I Approach Accessibility

I test accessibility by trying to use a website the way I actually would in real life. Can I complete the task? Can I understand what's happening? Do I get stuck?

I use assistive technology every day, including voice control and other hands-free methods. Because of that, I notice problems that are easy to miss if you only check guidelines or run automated tools.

When I report issues, I focus on what went wrong, why it matters, and what would help fix it. My goal is not to criticize a product, but to help teams understand what real users experience and how to make things better.

Employment Context

My employment history reflects not a lack of ability or motivation, but practical constraints that existed for many years prior to widespread remote work. Sustained upright sitting was medically unsafe due to significant health complications, including bladder issues that were addressed with a suprapubic procedure in August 2018.

In parallel, California's benefits structure required careful navigation. IHSS, Medi-Cal, and Medicare were essential to daily living and health stability, and work transitions needed to be approached with discipline to avoid catastrophic loss of care.

Throughout this period, I continued building technical capability and refining accessible workflows. Today, with remote collaboration now standard and my health stabilized, I'm positioned to contribute consistently and at a high level.
