Team Rockstar/WBR/Suzuki
leaves California holding its own in the Top 5

Chino, CA - February 20, 2007 - Michael Byrne and Troy Adams came into the seventh round of the Amp'd Mobile Supercross Series hoping to find California gold but that didn't pan out. They were, however, able to continue their consistent performance in the Supercross and Supercross Lites classes.

Byrne started off the night with a third place finish in his heat race. "I felt good on my Rockstar/WBR/Suzuki RMZ450. I was able to get comfortable on the bike and stay up front for a good pick going into the main event."

Going into the main event, Byrne was ready to grab some points before heading into Atlanta, Georgia next week. "I battled quite a bit during the race, but was able to finish a solid sixth which enabled me to get some good points." Byrner goes into Atlanta in fifth place in the Supercross points standings.

Troy Adams faired a little harder on the night. "I was qualifying in my heat race when I got tangled up and ended up breaking off my shifter. I had to pull off and head into the LCQ." Adams ended up 17th in his heat, but retaliated with a win in the LCQ.

The main event was good for Adams, but not where he wants to be just yet. "Every week I keep working on getting better. Eighth place in the main isn't where I should be, but I will get there. I just have to find that rhythm." Look for Adams to move up from ninth in points to finish out the West Coast Series in Seattle, Washington in April.

The team is headed out to Atlanta early this week to do some final suspension testing with Kelly Smith before his first East Coast event. "We're really excited about Kelly," Team Manager Tony Sulek said. "His speed is really good right now and that guy is unbelievable in getting great starts."

It's going to be down to the wire if teammate Andrew McFarlane will be at the gate in Atlanta. Team owner Brad Williams explained: "Andrew can't wait to get back on the bike, but we just want to make sure he's fully recovered."

So, as we move out of the west and start adding more players, it's just going to get more fun. Keep posted for some podium finishes for Team Rockstart/WBR/Suzuki.
