First U.S. Stop for Team Rockstar/WBR/Suzuki – Anaheim 1

Chino, CA – January 9, 2007 – To even the casual viewer, Team Rockstar/WBR/Suzuki made a big splash at the first U.S. stop of the Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Series. In the pits, the team took up a lot of real estate with a separate decked out hospitality rig and visiting area. The Rockstar girls were busily handing out smiles and product to fans on a cool California day. Riders Michael Byrne and Troy Adams showed up to prove themselves and the team. McFarlane was on hand for autographs, but won't be race ready until February. Kelly Smith will be riding East Coast.

Adams day started off well with a 3rd place finish in his heat race. "I got a decent start and was able to make a lot of adjustments that enabled me to do what I needed to. I came out this weekend in a good position for the start of the season." In the main, Troy finished 6th overall in the Lites Division.

With two weeks off after the Canadian rounds to help his banged-up shoulder get stronger, Michael still turned in the 9th fastest lap time going into the night show. His shoulder was still hindering him a little, but allowed him to come out 2nd behind Stewart in his heat race. In the main, Byrne ran fourth for most of the race, but was holding on as good as he could with a weak shoulder. "The team has worked really hard to get the RMZ450 dialed in and allow me to get comfortable. It was a disappointing finish for me, but I just need to get my shoulder stronger and this coming weekend will definitely be better." His main event finish still put him in the top 10.

"I think the boys did really well tonight. We have a whole new group in here and the season is looking good," team owner Brad Williams said.

The track itself was very slick and hard to find a rhythm on. The technical aspect of the course didn't allow for many mistakes, especially in the whoops - more than a few riders hit the deck during the course of the evening.

Keep an eye out for Byrne and Adams. These two Rockstar/WBR/Suzuki riders will be tearing up the track come Phoenix next week.
