Rock Star Jason Bonham of Foreigner to be at
Rockstar/WBR/Suzuki's Pits
at Anaheim 3
Chino, CA - January
31, 2007 - Race and rock fans can grab an autograph and enter to
win a one-of-a-kind Suzuki RMZ 450 to be unveiled by Jason Bonham, drummer
for Foreigner, this Saturday at Angel Stadium. The Jason Bonham Foreigner
Tribute bike was built by the crew from TV's popular motorcycle show,
2Xtreem. It is a wildly custom 2007 Suzuki RM-Z450.
Fans will find both Jason and the bike in the Team Rockstar/WBR/Suzuki
pits before the Anaheim 3 Supercross race. There, they can find out
the details on how to win this special machine, get autographs, and
take pictures. The auction will take place at the end of the year and
the proceeds will benefit various charities.
Both charity and motocross are things
well known to Jason Bonham. Jason is the son of Led Zeppelin's drumming
legend Jon Bonham. Since
the age of 14, Jason has loved motocross. He was a factory rider who
placed second in the British Junior National Championships, losing
by only one point. "I won the last race of the season and my competitor
had to come in 5th or better to place ahead of me in the Championship," Bonham
recalls. "He was lying 8th on the last lap and three people crashed
right in front of him allowing him to secure that last vital point."
Jason took the drum seat for Led Zeppelin's reunion performance at
Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary show. His distinctive style fuels
the music for his group, The Jason Bonham Band. As part of a national
tour, Jason appeared at Supercross events in Dallas, Houston, and Tampa.
He has also supported the John Bonham Memorial Motorcycle Camp, to
give under-privileged and at-risk young people the opportunity to get
involved with motorcycling. Led by founding member, Mick Jones, Foreigner
has sold over 70 million albums worldwide with hits like Cold as Ice,
Double Vision, I Want to Know What Love Is, and Hot Blooded.
Racing for Team Rockstar/WBR/Suzuki this Saturday will be Troy Adams
in the Lites Division and Michael Byrne in the 450. Michael is currently
5th in the points standing. Teammate Kelly Smith and Andrew McFarlane
will be racing the eastern division. Williams Brothers Racing owner
Brad Williams has built a powerhouse with the support of Rockstar Energy
Drink, American Suzuki, and Yoshimura.
Where else can you find Rock Stars, racing and the best motorcycles,
except at Team Rockstar/WBR/Suzuki.
