About SIDE B
What this is
SIDE B is a small site about a big idea: that how you share music with someone says more than what you share. It's a love letter to the mixtape -- not as a retro novelty, but as a craft worth preserving.
This site was built with semantic HTML, vanilla CSS, zero frameworks, and full accessibility baked in from the start. No tracking. No cookies. No autoplay. Just content.
Why "Side B"?
Side A is what everyone hears first. Side B is where you put the deeper cuts -- the songs that reward the people who stuck around and flipped the tape. That's the energy here.
Who made this
This site was designed and built by Sean Kelley -- a web developer, accessibility advocate, and someone who has made more mixtapes than he can count and still thinks about track order more than any reasonable person should.
The tech
PHP includes for structure. Vanilla CSS for style. System fonts for speed. No JavaScript frameworks, no build tools, no dependencies. Every page is a single HTTP request plus one stylesheet. It loads fast because there's nothing in the way.
Accessibility is structural, not decorative. Semantic landmarks, proper heading hierarchy, keyboard navigation, visible focus states, skip links, and WCAG AA contrast ratios throughout. Built to work for everyone.
